This Watch We have here a second classic Cartier Ronde with a rare and original black dial. This time with mixed Roman and diamond shape markers. The watch has all the features of that classic Cartier style but with a rare stunning black dial, including gilt, large, Roman numerals and printed diamond dots, railway style minute tracking, sword shaped hands and cabochon setting crown. We particularly love the articulated, Vendme lugs which add an extra touch of elegance and sophistication. along with the original deployment clasp. The vermeil case, also known as silver gilt, or gold plated sterling silver, measures 30mm and is a very comfortable wear on the wrist. This smaller size makes it the perfect watch for ladies or gents. Inside the case is the Swiss quartz caliber 81, fully serviced by us and running strongly. Extra Points The 'Must De' Cartier concept was first introduced around 1973 when the Cartier lighter became the must have accessory. Cartier branched out from jewellery to pens, leather goods, fragrances and more affordable watches. One of the main ways they transformed their designs way by making them out of vermeil, or silver gilt, which is gold plated sterling silver. This made the watches more affordable whilst still having the prestige of being made from a precious metal. Various sizes, dial colours and finishes were then produced for both men and women.
